Water Supply

The cottage is served by a private water supply.  The water is collected from natural springs and is then pumped by an electric pump directly to the taps and into the hot water tank in the attic. 

The water is of good quality and is free of chemical additives and personally we enjoy drinking it.  It is fully treated before it is pumped to the cottage. We have a filtration system, a UV light treatment unit and also a pH corrector.

As the cottage is registered with Perth and Kinross Council as a self catering unit a Risk Assessment has been completed and the water is tested regularly.
